Terms of Service: Online Video Consultations

Last updated Sep 30, 2026 · @Sarah

1. Who provides these services

These terms cover the online video consultations offered by Sarah Latrille (Roepke), sole trader (entrepreneur individuel), trading as Practical Paris and publishing as A Buckeye in Paris, SIRET 917 402 810 00019. Postal address: 1 avenue Alfred Belmontet, 92210 Saint-Cloud, France. Email: sarah@abuckeyeinparis.com. In these terms, “I” means me and “you” means the person booking.

2. What the service is

I offer one-to-one video consultations by Google Meet, booked through Calendly. Each one comes with something written to keep. The current services are:

ServiceLengthPriceWhat you receive
French Admin Hour60 min€75A one-page printable checklist of your next steps, emailed within 48 hours of the call
Checklist Check-In30 min€40A short written summary of your next step, emailed within 48 hours of the call
Be My Neighbor60 min€95A personalised guide with a map for one neighbourhood, delivered within 48 hours of the call

The French Admin Hour and the Checklist Check-In cover social security and carte vitale, CAF, the administrative side of pregnancy, and basic documents and dossiers. On the call, I walk you through the process: what to gather, what order to do things in, and where people commonly get stuck. If your topic is outside that list, tell me when you book and I will tell you whether I can help.

Be My Neighbor covers one neighbourhood, within a 10 to 15 minute walk of where you are staying: cafés, bakeries and restaurants, markets and grocery stores, everyday essentials, and a few places worth a detour, tailored to what you tell me you like. Please book at least 10 days before you arrive, so your guide is ready.

3. What the service is not

This is not a done-for-you service. I explain the process; you do the steps.

  • I do not fill out your forms, log into your accounts, file anything for you, or hold your passwords or login details.
  • I do not handle visa, residency or immigration paperwork.
  • I am not a lawyer, immigration advisor, accountant, medical professional, travel agent or public official, and nothing I say is legal, tax or medical advice.
  • I explain how processes work and how they worked for me and others. I do not decide what you are entitled to, and I cannot guarantee what any office or agency will decide in your case.
  • Pregnancy topics cover administration only, not medical guidance.
  • Be My Neighbor is my personal experience and opinion. I do not book anything for you, and I cannot guarantee opening hours, prices or availability.

4. Your part

You do the steps yourself, and you check the current requirements with the relevant office before you submit anything. French requirements vary by préfecture, caisse and office, and they change often. For Be My Neighbor, check opening hours and availability before you go. Please give me accurate information, including where you are staying, so what I write fits your situation.

5. Price and payment

The price of each service is in the table in section 2 and on its booking page. TVA non applicable, article 293 B du CGI. You pay by card through Stripe when you book, and your slot is confirmed once payment goes through. You will receive a payment confirmation by email.

6. Rescheduling and cancellation

You can reschedule free of charge up to 24 hours before the call. If you cancel or miss the call inside that window, the session is forfeited. If I have to cancel, or a technical problem on my side stops the call, I will offer a new date or a full refund.

7. Right of withdrawal

If you are a consumer in the EU, you normally have 14 days to withdraw from an online service purchase. When you book, you ask me to begin the service within that period and acknowledge that once the service has been fully delivered (the call and the written checklist, summary or guide), you lose your right to withdraw. If you withdraw before the call, I refund you in full. To withdraw, email me at sarah@abuckeyeinparis.com.

8. Recording, transcripts and your data

I keep only what I need to run the call, write your checklist, summary or guide, and take payment.

  • What I collect: your name, email address, your answers on the booking form, and what you tell me on the call. For Be My Neighbor, this includes where you are staying, which I use only to build your guide.
  • Recording and transcripts: only if you answer Yes to the optional AI-transcript question when booking, and I will ask again at the start of the call. You can decline at any time. If you do, I take notes by hand and nothing is recorded. Transcripts and notes are deleted after 30 days.
  • Please do not send ID numbers, medical documents, scans or passwords, by form or by email. Describe your situation instead.
  • Who handles data for me: Calendly (booking), Google (Meet and email), Stripe (payment) and Notion (notes). Some of these providers are based outside the EU. Stripe processes payments globally, including outside the EU, and these providers rely on standard transfer safeguards.
  • Your rights: under the GDPR you can ask to access, correct or delete your data, or object to how I use it. Email me at sarah@abuckeyeinparis.com. You can also complain to the CNIL (cnil.fr).

9. Liability

I will deliver the service with reasonable care. To the extent French law allows, my liability is limited to the amount you paid. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot legally be excluded.

10. Questions, complaints and mediation

Write to me first at sarah@abuckeyeinparis.com, and I will reply within 5 business days. If we cannot resolve it, you can use free consumer mediation with CM2C, as set out below. The French text is CM2C’s own wording, followed by an English version.
